I worked as a technical artist on Where Cards Fall primarily creating shaders, tools, and VFX.
Work highlights:
Anisotropic highlight shader for stylized hair.
Heightmap generation tool that baked out heightmaps in engine for each level for shader-side mesh deformation.
Wind system tied to gameplay that reacted dynamically to obstacles.
Custom light cookie shader for animated light cookies. Also included functionality for placing masks to highlight certain areas to draw player’s eye.
Stylized lens flare system.
